Job Description - Sales Manager

Seeking an exceptional Sales Manager (Outside Sales Rep) to support the outside sales of our Milwaukee plant. Compensation range is 75-85K Base Salary with a 30% Annual Bonus target that can max up to 60%. Monthly car allowance and mileage differential also included.

Company is publicly traded, a leader in their industry, and has 50 locations across the US and Canada. Specific company information will be shared with qualified candidates. Position does not require industry experience, but candidates should have an interest in selling to steel fabricators, original equipment manufacturers, extruders, and other industrial companies. There is a pre-established customer base, but company is looking to grow. This is the only sales position for this plant, but the role does have support and comradery of a Sales team and leadership across the US.

Responsibilities
Answer customers' questions about services, prices, timelines and credit terms.
Recommend services to customers based on customer needs and interests.
Contacts regular and prospective customers to demonstrate services, explains product features, and solicits orders.
Estimates or quotes prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
Consults with clients after sales or contract signings in order to resolve problems and provide ongoing service.
Prepare estimates and bids that meet specific customer needs.
Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor products, prices, and sales.
Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements.
Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
Follow up on sales leads and make cold calls to potential customers.
Follow established budgetary restrictions.

Qualifications
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree preferred, but experience in lieu of will be accepted
Valid driver's license under no type of suspension is required
Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role
Willingness and ability to travel

Travel
Company location is about 5 miles south of downtown Milwaukee. The territory covered will mainly be greater Milwaukee but could go within 100 miles. Overnight travel should be minimal. Typical week will consist of 1 day at the plant to interface with operations and do paperwork, and 4 days visiting customers.

Work Environment
Primarily air-conditioned office environment. Some exposure to outdoor elements and a production environment.
