Position Summary

:

Responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic planning, effective team management and cultivating strong relationships with clients and partners. Plays a pivotal role in achieving sales targets, expanding market share and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Effectively manages the sales department to maximize the company’s market share, profitability, and sales volume for its benefit plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets within the health insurance sector
Lead, motivate and coach a team of sales professionals to maximize their performance and productivity
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and networking with potential clients and partners
Analyze market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement
Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques and professional development
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer services and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of sales efforts
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, brokers and other stakeholders to enhance business growth and retention
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and performance metrics to senior management
Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market
Assist with the development of the department budget
Develop and maintain sales polices and procedures as well as standards of field service
Assist in the design, recommendation and implementation of sales incentives which includes commissions, production and quality bonuses and group representative bonuses for sales team and brokers
Assist with the design and development of sales materials.
Oversee coordination and execution of Sales/Marketing Events and Expos.
Attend major industry events and functions as well as represent UHA at various company events.

Required Education and Experience:

The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a related field
Minimum of seven to ten years of sales experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Three to five years of experience in managing and training salespeople
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer service
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proficient in CRM software, preferably Salesforce platform and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations
