Hardware Hawaii, a local retail hardware and lumber business, is seeking a customer oriented and highly motivated individual for a full-time position as a Sales Manager. The individual we seek is outgoing and enjoys working with customers in providing the best possible customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prospects, qualifies and generates sales within the company’s established policies handling both walk-up and established customers.

Identifies revenue opportunities within customers' communities through verbal and written communications, programs and other activities identified as directed.

Monitors market conditions and stays up to date on industry competitors.

Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.

Identifies and closes additional purchases of products and services by customers' communities.

Responds in a timely manner to requests from customers for information and provides continued follow up building rapport with customers.

Attends sales department meetings, provide input and/or industry insight and participates in reaching comp revenues, goals and forecast.

Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the e-commerce industries.

Attend industry related seminars or meetings.

Assist customers in resolving issues or concerns, possibly having to resolve or salvaging lost business.

Provide weekly update reports with current activity and plans for the next week to immediate supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications
Associates degree (AA) or equivalent

A minimum of two years sales experience required

Basic knowledge of lumber, building material and hardware

Proven sales and personnel management abilities required

Internet and MSOffice Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) experience required
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to negotiate, be innovative and persuasive

Ability to interact professionally with customers, employees and contractors

Effective presentation and training skills, with large or small groups
