We are looking for an

Outside Sales Manager

to join our Industrial Measurements Continuous Monitoring Sales team at Vaisala Inc. located in Woburn, MA. Step into this pivotal role as an Outside Sales Manager, where you'll drive revenue growth by managing and expanding key accounts within highly regulated industries across the Eastern United States.

What's your role?
You will be part of our Industrial Measurements Continuous Monitoring Sales team, made up of dedicated technical sales professionals. Together, you'll drive growth and innovation in environmental monitoring solutions. In this role, you'll strive to cultivate lasting client relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders such Marketing, Product Offering, Life Cycle Services for strategic planning, troubleshooting, and solution identification. You will report to Rose Dunn, Head of Sales.
Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets for key accounts in the life sciences sector.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts to expand market presence.
Provide technical expertise and product recommendations related to humidity, carbon dioxide, dew point, and barometric pressure measurement.
Collect, analyze, and document market information on customers, applications, and competitors; report results to senior management.
Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote products and services.
What will you bring?
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering disciplines are advantageous).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales within the life sciences industry with a proven track record of managing and growing key accounts.
Strong understanding of the life sciences market, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and research institutions, as well as regulatory requirements in GxP Environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Technical background in environmental monitoring, instrumentation, and controls; basic knowledge of thermodynamics and validation mapping.
Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, basic knowledge of business contracts and core business processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment; proactive, self-motivated, and possessing a “hunter” mentality.
Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated territory, with an additional 10% travel to head office for training and meetings; fluency in English, with additional language skills being a plus.
