Sales Leadership & Team Development Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 8-10 outside sales professionals to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Provide field-based coaching through joint sales calls, ride-along, and in-person customer meetings.
- Set clear sales expectations, territory strategies, and performance goals aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborate with inside sales staff to provide leadership on project management, bid strategy, and opportunity execution.
- Analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and forecasts to identify trends and growth opportunities.
Direct Sales & Account Management Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a personal book of business within the municipal market.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, and general contractors.
- Expand existing accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Provide professional-level product promotion, selection, support, and follow-up to engineers and end users.
- Conduct in-person consultations, product demonstrations, and problem-solving sessions at treatment plants and job sites.
- Attend and exhibit at local trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet customers and partners.
- Assist with commissioning and startup of new equipment when required.
- Provide monthly sales reporting, forecasting, and insights into bid activity and market conditions.
Background/ Experience:
- 5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably within mechanical / municipal industrial equipment
- Prior sales leadership, mentoring, or coaching experience is required
- Proven ability to balance leadership responsibilities with direct sales execution
- Experience in water/wastewater or municipal infrastructure markets desired
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written)

- Highly organized with strong relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and familiar with CRM systems
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Ability to travel overnight up to 20%
Compensation:
- $120k-140k base + commission
- Monthly auto allowance
