Job Description - Sales Operations Manager

THE ROLE 

Avocado is currently looking for a Sales Operations Manager to be part of the Strategic Partnership Team.

This role will be responsible for supporting sales operations and initiatives across the Wholesale channel. In this role you will spearhead communication between departments and lead initiatives to drive growth across key retail accounts. You will be responsible for architecting and delivering the enablement frameworks—including tools, processes, and resources—necessary to maximize channel success. Utilizing Asana you will own sales projects, track performance metrics, and oversee long-term initiative planning. Strategic travel is a component of this role to conduct high-level partner site visits, represent the company at major industry trade shows, and align with executive leadership at corporate meetings.

*Note on Pay Transparency:. The pay range for this role is  $100,000-$125,000

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON…

  • Operate as a liaison between the Wholesale division and other AGB divisions

  • Manage Strategic Partner budgets to include:

    • POP cost to revenue

    • Marketing spend

    • Industry events 

    • Partner events

  • Leading sales strategy and planning:

    • Collaborating with the Marketing division on pricing and promotions

    • Maintaining customer wholesale and retail price lists

    • Communicating pricing and promo strategies to the sales team

    • Supporting annual and quarterly business reviews with partners

    • Leading go-to-market strategy and forecasting

  • Oversee and manage CRM (hubspot)

    • Continuous improvement of data usage

    • Development of dashboards and KPI tracking

  • Manage and optimize reporting analytics and KPIs (Domo)

  • Manage and update the Sales Forecast Dashboard

  • Manager the Partner Level matrix

  • Identify and develop processes to improve efficiencies

    • Maintain and house processes in an organized SOP

  • Maintain advanced product knowledge and participate in sales training and education

  • Collaborate with the sales team on merchandising opportunities to increase revenue

  • Participate in sales planning and development of strategic short- and long-run plans that will achieve predetermined sales goals.

  • Make sure customer-specific programs, guidelines, and policies are communicated and followed.

  • Regularly evaluate sales performance and collaborate on strategies to sustain successes and improve deficiencies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to this role to help support AGB’s larger visions as well. 

WHAT YOU BRING…

  • At least 5 years of sales operations experience with a demonstrated record of creating, maintaining, and growing proven processes.

  • Experience leading strategic initiatives and large-scale projects

  • Bedding industry experience along with industry relationships 

  • Possess strong research, writing, editing and client interaction skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Organized, self-motivated, with a proactive approach to managing and executing projects.

  • Ability to use independent judgment, analyze information, and formulate recommendations to solve problems.

  • A passion for the foundations and core beliefs in Avocado as the leader in certified organic and sustainable products.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stationary position: Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.

  • Move: This role involves moving throughout the office to meet with different team members, as well as around the retail spaces, other offices, etc.

  • Operate:  Constantly operates a computer and other office machines such as printers and tablets.

  • Communicate: This role frequently communicates with other team members to update on the status of a task.

  • Travel: this role involves travelling to different locations.
