Sales Porter

Description

The Sales Porter at College Station Ford is responsible for making sure our new and pre-owned inventory is cleaned, aligned, displayed, and prepared for our customers on a daily basis. The Sales Porter moves and parks cars on our lot and must keep track of parked vehicles and make sure that the parking lot is neat and presentable at all times.

The Sales Porter is also responsible for taking vehicles to and from our dealership to other dealerships, other repair

/ reconditioning facilities, and customers. The Sales Porter will assist our make ready and other departments as needed, including moving and cleaning vehicles. The Sales Porter will also assist in checking in new inventory and working with the Make-Ready team to get all vehicles prepared for the lot. The Sales Porter will also be responsible for assisting with the cleanliness of our lot and facilities and general light facility/ grounds maintenance as required. Sales Porters must be comfortable communicating with managers, fellow team members, other industry personnel, and customers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license, a clean driving record, the ability and desire to show up every day scheduled, on time, and work without being distracted by their phone or any other personal communication device. Candidates must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service. Responsibilities

• Moving vehicles around the dealership property and making the new and pre-owned inventory lots look well organized and fantastic
• Taking vehicles to and from other dealerships, repair/ reconditioning facilities, and local vendors
• Obtaining required signatures from other dealerships, repair reconditioning facilities, and customers
• Assist the make ready and service departments as needed to meet sales department needs
• Cleaning/ clearing/ removing trash as needed to maintain excellent facility appearance
• Assist with general light facility and grounds maintenance
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Follows all policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
• Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
• Performs other duties as assigned, we always come up with a few things each day that need to be accomplished!

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Highly professional and dependable
• Safety and customer service oriented
• Basic computer and internet skills
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
