Sales Rep- Andersen Windows-PCM

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced, highly energetic and entrepreneurial spirited Sales Representative to develop new relationships with general contractors, luxury home builders, owners, architects, designers and leverage existing relationships in order to generate new revenue for Glenn Rieder Residential LLC (dBa Palm City Millwork). 

Candidates must have excellent verbal, written, communication and computer skills and a proven track record of leveraging opportunities in a highly competitive environment. A minimum 2-years’ experience selling windows and door sales are required.

Ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge of the commercial and/or residential construction industry in southeast Florida market area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cultivate opportunities into sales for the company


• Develop relationships with strategic individuals, general contractors, luxury home builders, developers and owners that will lead to successful sales opportunities for the company


• Assist with the development and maintenance of marketing materials for the company


• Participate in Sales meetings to review progress on jobs that you are tracking or bidding


• Identify ways to improve contract gross margin during the bidding process


• Manage the estimating process with all relevant information to include but not limited to a completed sales Information sheet, drawings, and specifications

Secondary Job Functions:

During the sales and marketing process:

• Evaluate potential profitability of bidding opportunities and consult with the General Manger on whether or not to bid on the project after reviewing the drawings and establishing the amount of time it will take to estimate the project


• Monitor the activities of the Owner/Developer, Architect/Designer and Contractor which relate to the company’s successful completion of projects


• Communicate with said parties regarding their activities and demonstrate to them how they can benefit from our services


• Document internal and external activities and events that impact the profitability, timely completion, and quality of prospective projects

Upon being awarded a project:

• Act as a liaison between the customer and the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of sales


• Maintain contact with the customer as required to evaluate contract progress and ensure that the customer needs are being met

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred

Experience and/or Training:

• Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in the sale of windows & doors and installation of products.


• Ability to work under pressure.


• Ability to anticipate and understand design problems contained in bid documents and propose solutions for a more competitive bid.


• Ability to understand other building industry disciplines.


• Ability to read blueprints, interior design, and architectural drawings.


• Ability to keep current on contemporary materials and processes.


• Working knowledge of custom millwork fabrication and subcontracting practices within the construction industry.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to see and differentiate color and to focus.
