Sales Respresentative

Position: Full Time with Benefits

Rivermaid Trading Company is a leading grower, packer, and shipper of premium California cherries, pears, and other commodities. We are seeking a Sales Representative to strengthen our existing relationships and help us grow our market presence.

As a Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. You will need to stay informed about the evolving market landscape and take responsibility for ensuring the satisfaction of our clients. Occasional travel may be required to meet with customers, or attend trade shows.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Stay current with market trends, industry developments, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions for customer requirements, including logistics coordination.
• Manage the end-to-end customer experience, from logistics to a basic understanding of accounting processes.
• Provide customers with updates on crop conditions, market fluctuations, and product availability.
• Participate in occasional travel for customer meetings, and trade shows.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant experience in agriculture or sales is strongly considered.
• Strong relationship management skills and a proven ability to meet customer needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in technology, with the ability to quickly learn sales tools, order management systems, and EDI platforms.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes in sales.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering results
