Sales Specialist - Nashville, TN

Position Purpose: The Sales Specialist helps people explore the beautiful and complex world of beer through building the Creature Comforts Brewing Co. brand in Tennessee. By being the best partners to our distributors, retailers, consumers, and the community while focusing on effective wholesaler management, they will build industry respect and grow CCBC share of mind and market.

Job Description:

Maintaining Freshness Standards in Market:

• Ensure all products in the market meet company freshness standards.
• Regularly inspect retail and distribution points to verify product quality.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to address any issues related to product freshness.

In-Market Program Execution & Merchandising:

• Execute marketing and sales programs in the market to drive product visibility and sales.
• Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and appeal.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of in-market programs and merchandising efforts.

Retail and Distributor Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and distributors.
• Negotiate terms and agreements to optimize product placement and sales opportunities.
• Provide ongoing support and communication to retail and distributor partners.

On & Off Premise Distribution Gains/Management:

• Identify and secure new on-premises (bars, restaurants) and off-premises (retail stores) distribution opportunities.
• Manage existing distribution channels to ensure consistent product availability and sales growth.
• Analyze market trends and sales data to inform distribution strategies.

Consumer Education & Engagement/Events:

• Plan and execute consumer engagement events to promote brand awareness and product knowledge.
• Educate consumers about product features, benefits, and brand story through various channels.
• Gather consumer feedback and insights to inform marketing and sales strategies. and sales strategies.

• Minimum of 1 year of sales experience preferred, as is familiarity with the Nashville and Memphis markets.  
• Experience within some aspect of the three-tier system or customer service industry preferred. 
• Valid Driver’s License for the state where work is performed and clean driving record
• Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
• Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results.
• Strong judgment and professional maturity.
• Ability and willingness to travel; this role will require some overnight travel, not expected to exceed more than 25% of total work time, travel and lodging expenses covered. 
• Willing to work occasional evening and weekend hours.

The role involves frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching overhead and forward. Manual dexterity for handling tools and assembling displays is essential. Representatives must drive for extended periods, load and unload vehicles with items up to 165 lbs, and work in various environments, including outdoor settings. Adequate visual and auditory capabilities are required for reading labels, using sales software, and effective communication.
