SUMMARY
Responsible for managing a sales support team of 5-6 Sales Assistants towards achievement of the District's goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintain and support staff to accomplish the desired level of customer support and in an effective and efficient manner. Interview and recommend applicants for hire in Sales Assistant Associates.
Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor daily performance of Sales Assistants; Counsel, record, and discipline as necessary. Communicate departmental processes and procedures to associates as needed.
Research complex account issues, complaints, or grievances and recommend solution as well as troubleshoot and resolve escalated internal and external customer issues.
Manage toward a team environment, encourage associate participation for improving service and efficiencies
Support and recommend annual budget requirements for the sales support group. Anticipate and request funding for future personnel requirements.
Provide performance evaluations and assist in the overall development plan for sales support associates.
Responsible to review, approve and submit time keeping data for sales support staff.
Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of internal and external customers
Provide administrative support to Regional Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, District Sales Manager and Sales Associates where applicable.
Assist Regional Sales Manager and Marketing Manager in Trade Show preparations. This includes preparation of registration, worksheets and handouts for meetings. Will also assist in hotel and travel arrangements, etc.

Orders and maintains adequate inventory of departmental office supplies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

External Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in additional work experience.

Minimum of three years of lead or supervisory experience in a sales environment, preferably in the foodservice industry.

Broad knowledge of the organization's products, services and marketing techniques.

Proficient in using Microsoft Teams/365 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

Ability to communicate effectively with Management, Associates and customers; written, verbal and listening.

Ability to effectively monitor, lead, coach personnel.

Must be a self-starter and team oriented.

Excellent organizational skills.
