Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Learn product catalog, relevant specifications details and quality system
- Complete relevant safety, sales and marketing training as determined and assigned by management
- Analyze relevant sales data to aid sales team in servicing customers
- Manage special sales projects and present findings
- Negotiate prices and terms of sales agreements
- Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders
- Maintain complete and updated customer records through Salesforce
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices and availability, or credit terms
- Quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications
- Contact new or existing customers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needs.
- Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
- Recognize and analyze industry trends and relevant developments
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Industrial Distribution or similar fields required
- Basic understanding of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Strong oral expression and comprehension – ability to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, agents and other external sources
- Adaptable to best practices for sales and business development processes.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Positive Attitude and willingness to learn
