Sales/Account Representative

Didion Orf Recycling is a leading provider of recycling and scrap metal management services. We specialize in the collection, processing, and selling of a wide range of metals and electronics, contributing to a sustainable future. We’re seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as an Account Representative, purchasing electronics and metals.

A sales-oriented mindset, strong work ethic and knowledge in the scrap and recycling industry are key in this role.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with purchasing scrap metal and electronics from customers and vendors.


• Evaluate the quality and value of various materials.


• Help maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.


• Negotiate prices with customers and vendors.


• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues related to transactions.


• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient, quality customer service while procuring and trading materials. 


• Some travel is required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.


• Prior experience in sales and negotiations.


• Prior knowledge and strong interest in learning about scrap and recycling industry.


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.


• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.


• Basic math skills and computer proficiency.


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.


• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. At times this can be a hands-on, physically demanding role.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CRM systems and general computer skills.
