Essential Job Functions:
- Shaping and executing geography-specific sales strategies, including gaining preferred vendor approval in targeted states
- Preparing for and facilitating opportunity exploration conversations with prospective clients
- Creating, refining, and managing internal business development structures, processes, and tools
- Researching, identifying, and responding to relevant philanthropic, federal, and/or state grant opportunities; supporting related funding efforts.
- Developing proposals and RFP responses
- Supporting LiberatED Way client work as needed, including but not limited to project management, content development, and facilitation of client working sessions
- Supporting team initiatives including but not limited to content codification, packaging new offerings, and team professional development
- Write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals
- Apply knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach revenue goals
- Collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders
Key Qualifications:
- Highly organized with proven project management skills; able to effectively manage multiple projects at once
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Experience writing grants and/or proposals
- Proactive problem solver comfortable navigating ambiguous and fast-changing environments
- Experience in the K-12 education industry
- Preferred: consulting experience
- Preferred: formal fundraising experience
- Able to travel up to twice per month
- Bachelor's degree or above
