Are you an organized, people-centered professional with a passion for supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities? Starpoint is seeking a Residential Manager to oversee day-to-day operations within our Residential Program. This position plays a key leadership role in managing residential providers, supporting the individuals we serve, coordinating care and services, and ensuring high-quality program delivery.

The Residential Manager reports directly to the Residential Director and collaborates closely with administrative and direct support staff to uphold the highest standards of care, dignity, and person-centered support across all settings.

Position Summary

The Residential Manager is responsible for managing daily operations of the residential program in Salida. This includes provider and Direct Support Professional supervision, program coordination, administrative duties, and ensuring compliance with agency and state standards. The role involves both leadership and hands-on support. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Program Oversight

• Manage day-to-day residential services for assigned individuals.
• Oversee and support Host Home Providers and Family Caregivers.
• Recruit, train, and monitor Host Home Providers and ensure contract compliance.
• Hire, train, and support Family Caregivers in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Ensure individualized, person-centered planning and support for all participants.
• Develop and monitor detailed Individual Plans (IPs) and track progress.
• Maintain compliance with agency and state licensing standards.
• Work work on call shifts as part of a rotating schedule.

Supervision & Provider Support

• Provide onboarding and ongoing training for all residential providers.
• Conduct monthly check-ins, training, and home monitoring visits.
• Coach providers in engagement strategies and IP goal implementation.
• Hire, train, and supervise Direct Support Professionals who provide residential services.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate documentation and records for both individuals and providers.
• Ensure Therap entries and participant files are up-to-date and complete.
• Communicate regularly with families, care providers, case managers, and external professionals.

General Responsibilities

• Understand and implement agency policies, safety procedures, emergency protocols, and      communication guidelines.
• Represent Starpoint’s mission and advocate for individuals within the community.
• Provide direct care as needed.

Requirements

Job Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and documentation software (e.g., Therap)
• Strong  written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex documentation and schedules
• Ability  to lift 50–75 lbs safely and respond to physical/emergency needs
• Adaptability to a flexible and changing work environment
• Team-oriented mindset with leadership ability

 Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (required)
• Experience in social work, human services, or residential program coordination (preferred)

• Valid Colorado driver’s license
• Ability to pass criminal background check
• Meet agency driving requirements
