Salvage Yard Parts Puller

Stepp's Auto Salvage is seeking mechanics for our San Antonio, FL, salvage yard.   We are seeking candidates who possess a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and professional Automotive experience, as well as knowledge of relevant tools.

Leave the Flat Rate/Book time behind for hourly pay and monthly performance bonuses!

Essential Functions:

The ideal candidate must be able to do the following:

• Remove parts and assemblies from vehicles with safety, quality, and productivity in mind always.
  


• Inspect, clean, label, and tag parts to be sold, delivered, shipped, or placed into stock.


• Work with others in a team environment to achieve individual and team goals.


• Other duties as assigned. 

Physical Requirements for the Position Include:

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, bending and reaching, climbing, strength and stamina, ability to work in typical Florida weather conditions.
  

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and/or reliable means of transportation.


• Must have hands-on automotive or industry experience and tools.


• Basic understanding of environmental safety.


• Knowledge or the ability to learn how to use Car lifts, Heavy Forklifts, Car crushers, mini excavators, and skid steers.


• The ability to learn processes, procedures, and regulations through various methods. Examples are hands-on training and online courses.


• Must be able to pass a background check /drug test.


• Must have a Clean Driving Record.
  


• Possess great Customer Service/Communication Skills.

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 8 am-5 pm (Full-Time Schedule)

Pay:

• $18.00 - $28.00/hr. (Pay is commensurate with prior experience.)
