Job Description - SAM Analyst II (HYBRID)


Description



The Analyst II, SAM works independently to perform research, data extraction and analysis, building data and analytical tools to support the mitigation of risk.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify new risk trends; identify new data from core source systems to research and analyze root causes
  • Validate data, identify errors, and make modifications to scripts and analytical frameworks to meet changing needs
  • Provide maintenance and enhancement support of automated reporting 
  • Coordinate the data management and reporting of key performance metrics   
  • Prepare, deliver and/or present reports, analyses and results for senior leadership, committees, and other business units
  • Work with Leaders to draft and maintain documentation of procedures for producing reports from core system
  • Partner with all SAM business units to ensure adherence to corporate policies
  • Coordinate the data management and reporting of key performance metrics
  • Participate in training and orientation of new Analysts
  • Mentor SAM Analysts and Process Managers as needed, on process improvement matters and system updates
Experience and Education Requirement:
  • Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistical, Quantitative or related field is preferred 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in applying and developing analytical methods, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Core systems used by business units
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically to all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Tableau is preferred
  • Proficiency with an analytical/quantitative tool (such as Excel, SQL)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certification/License: Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent preferred
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
 
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $89,000 - $99,000 annually + annual bonus
