Samples Coordinator

As Samples Coordinator at Eatery Essentials, you will work behind the scenes to ensure that daily administrative and operational tasks run efficiently. This ensures the accurate and efficient handling of samples orders and shipments by coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting internal and external customer needs. This role focuses on maintaining organization in the shipping area, ensuring quality and compliance in all shipments, and providing timely communication and problem resolution related to deliveries and inventory.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinator and maintain samples orders and packages both inbound and outbound from the plant. 
• Effectively communicates with Sales and customers as needed regarding status of sample requests, quality questions, inventory needs.
• Test samples for proper function and quality before sending to customers
• Processes return for any defective or incorrect items.
• Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary
• Ensures that samples area is clean and organized.
• Requests proper items / quantities needed based on inventory movement before out of stock.
• Maintains records of all received shipments.
• Conducts inventory of products, and logs data into inventory database.
• Contacts distributor to inquire about shipment delays or problems.
• Reports any major or unresolved shipment delays or problems to supervisor
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

• Exhibits familiarity with shipping and billing procedures.
• Manages time efficiently.

Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities:

• Exemplify EE Dallas QB Inc.’s safety culture in everyday activities.
• Gain a thorough working knowledge of EE Dallas QB Inc. Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) policies and procedures.
• Follow all EE Dallas QB Inc. facility and corporate ES&H procedures and practices.
• Attend and actively participate in facility ESH meetings and forums that will drive employee involvement.
• Participate in other site safety reviews.
• Complete all required ESHA training in a timely fashion.
• Participate in any safety investigations when called upon to do so.
• Follows plant safety procedures and   guidelines; informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury   or incident immediately; wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Quality Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring regulations and company quality procedures are followed in the performance of your job.
• Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in your work areas.
• Responsible for maintaining all Quality documents assigned to your job are properly completed following our GMP & BRC standards.
• Responsible completing all Quality training to maintain the ability to do your job following our SOPs.
• Responsible for actively participating in GEMBA walks when called upon to do so.

Skills and Education:

• Experience with domestic and import logistics strongly preferred.
• Experience with warehouse receiving a plus

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
• A minimum of three years of experience in shipping and/or order processing required

• Employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision.
• Must be physically capable of spending long hours outdoors or in a warehouse environment. 
• Must be “fit for duty”.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Work Environment: 

Must be able to perform under the following conditions:

• Work primarily in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
• Work safely at all times.
• Work occasionally in the front office, plant building, or outside plant area. 
• Able to occasionally work long hours without prior notice to assist the plant on urgent issues.
