Sanitation

• Operate all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Clean up receiving pits
• Organizing audits
• Clean up kitchen, bathrooms, breakrooms, and control rooms.
• Maintain traffic lanes visible.
• Assess and clean up production building roofs
• Inspect safety equipment.
• Inspect vehicles
• Perform necessary recording and documenting of all (waste) during shift
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently and in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality
• Clean all areas of the facility, including warehouse, plant and grounds
• Use powered industrial equipment to do detailed cleaning throughout the mill
• Hazardous Waste Management: Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials in compliance with local regulations.
• Waste collection: Collect and dispose of garbage and recyclables from residential and commercial areas using sanitation vehicles and equipment.
• Clean and power wash heavy equipment and trailers
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs as needed
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow Company prescribed safety rules and regulations as well as other departmental policies and procedures
• Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor at any time
• Work in a team environment to achieve the production goals of the company
• Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Promote teamwork and effective production throughout each shift
• Consistently be on site and ready to start on time
• Maintain professional work standard

• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

• Methods and techniques for safe work practices

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience
• One (1) to two (2) years’ work experience in a warehouse/industrial/production environment
• Work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, overtime and on-call

• Frequent standing for long period of time
• Frequent bending, squatting and kneeling
• Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 75 pounds up to 100 feet
• Frequent grasping, holding and reaching
• Constant use of overall vision
• Frequent hearing and talking in person; may be required to wear ear protection or hear in noisy conditions
• Frequent co-worker contact; occasional working alone
• Frequent exposure to loud noise

• Work may be performed inside or outside in hot and cool temperatures and a noisy environment;
• May be exposure to loud noises and steam exhaust, and dusty, muddy and slick environment
• Adhere to all PPE Guidelines as established by OSHA and the company
