Sanitation Specialist

Location: Woodland, CA

Pay rate: $25 - $26

Working hours: day shift (flexible) - required to work different shifts/hours for ad-hoc cover   

Responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of sanitation programs of extruded crisps, and flour milling across all production shifts to ensure high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.   

Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Sanitation metrics, responds, troubleshoots, and solves production issues.

Manage master sanitation plan and schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) as needed to ensure required timelines are met.    

Analyze Sanitation data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.  

Identify and implement methods of making the Food Safety, QA, and Sanitation processes more efficient and effective. Direct corrections (corrective action) of sanitation, QA and food safety problems that may arise. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions. 

Coordinate the cross-training of employees to ensure a versatile cross functional team. 

Manage, develop, and maintain all sanitation related documents and programs (SOP, specification, manuals, etc.) 

Oversee daily sanitation activities and assist as needed.  

Cross training with QA Specialist and covering QA when required. 

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' work experience in the food industry as a sanitation, quality or food safety supervisor. 

HACCP, PCQI, Sanitation, Microbiology, Allergen control, Pest Control, internal auditing. 

Good practical working knowledge of food safety legislation and quality requirements. 

BRC, SQF or other GFSI standard experience. 

The ability to work independently and be a team player. 

Working with other departments, suppliers, and customers to have action items completed.
