Job Description - Sanitation Team Member

The Sanitation Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company quality standards. This role plays a key part in preventing contamination and ensuring all equipment, surfaces, and work areas meet cleanliness and hygiene requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facility areas in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
Disassemble and reassemble machinery for thorough cleaning following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and sanitation solutions safely and effectively.
Inspect equipment and work areas to verify cleanliness before production restarts.
Maintain accurate sanitation logs, checklists, and other required documentation.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and all company safety and food safety policies.
Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure sanitation activities are completed efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food manufacturing sanitation preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
Ability to work in wet, cold, or humid environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.

Work Schedule

Hours and schedule may vary depending on production needs. Start time can vary anytime between 6pm-8pm and shifts are typically about 8-10 hours past the start time. At this time Monday-Friday.
