Sanitation Technician

Job Summary:

 
The primary role of the Sanitation Operator is to clean and sanitize all the production areas as well as the facility. Must follow standard operating procedures for a food manufacturing plant. Complete any quality documentation and communicating with other departments is fundamental to this position. 

Responsibilities:

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment 
• Work with chemicals in a safe manner, measure and document concentrations as directed.
• Follow standard operating procedures to clean and sanitize various pieces of high speed and/or high-tech processing equipment 
• Complete environmental cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings and drains in all areas of the plant.
• Troubleshoot problems and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues 
• May assist in start-up, change over, and shut down of operating equipment 
• Clean, disassemble, and reassemble necessary equipment. 
• Be responsible for executing all required HACCP/quality processes and documentation 
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance 
• Clean non-production areas including employee wellness areas such as bathrooms and breakroom.
• Assists in training new employees 
• Attend meetings and trainings as required 
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned 

Requirements

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Basic computer skills 
• Keen attention to detail; documentation retention and organization skills are a must 
• Willingness/ability to work different shifts as needed. 
• Commitment to safety and quality of work 
• Must be able to take direction and work well with others required to uphold a team-based environment
