The responsibility of the Sanitation Tech will be maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the facility by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing buildings, work areas, and production equipment. Their goal should be to keep the site in a clean and orderly condition. The Sanitation Tech will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and ceilings, cleaning, dusting, and removing trash. This position reports to the Facilities Manager and will work closely with the Quality department in maintaining a sanitary environment for product safety. This position may be responsible for operating forklifts, and floor scrubbing equipment. Requires excellent observation and auditing skills as well as a good understanding of GMPs.
Essential Functions:
- Plan, organize and complete sanitation functions ensuring that environmental procedures are being followed.
- Follow SOPs related to sanitation.
- Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition.
- Maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Perform concentration checks on cleaning chemicals as needed.
- Perform daily hygiene checks.
- Stock PPE and cleaning supplies.
- Confer with management and production personnel on sanitation problems and recommend changes in equipment or work practices to improve sanitation standards.
- Ensure that cleaning activities do not pose contamination risk to the products.
- Follow proper waste removal practices.
- Ensure that dedicated cleaning tools are used in the appropriate locations.
- Adherence to all safety and GMP policies
$18 - $20 an hour
