Sanitation Technician (Spanish Speaker)

Description

The sanitation technician is responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of all property and production assets, including facility grounds. Sanitation technicians follow direction of the sanitation foreman, and ultimately the Food Safety Manager.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• -Replenishes necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
• -Sweeps floors and keeps the area free of debris
• -Operates floor scrubbing machine if necessary
• -Operates power wash when necessary
• -Using man lift to reach ceiling, cleans warehouse ceilings
• -Uses chemicals according to company guidelines and safe practices
• -Performs other duties as assigned.

Monday through Friday 6:00AM to 2:30PM

Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Must be able to speak Spanish, operate a forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubbing machine, man lift and power washer. Must be self-motivated, willing to work in cold environments and demonstrate the ability to understand and follow safety and food safety policies and procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
