The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work
environment in accordance with standards and food safety
regulations. This includes thorough cleaning of all processing equipment, floors,
restrooms, and break areas. The role requires a clear understanding of chemical
usage and safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to work
independently.
Key Responsibilities
● Clean and sanitize all processing equipment to ensure safe food
production
● Clean facility floors, restrooms, and break room areas to meet hygiene
standards
● Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, following proper procedures
● Follow company cleaning protocols and sanitation schedules
● Communicate with the Sanitation Supervisor or Manager regarding tasks
and any issues
● Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and on time
● Maintain proper storage and care of cleaning equipment and supplies
● Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications
● Must be able to read and understand English
● Ability to comprehend the proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning
chemicals
● Detail-oriented with a commitment to cleanliness and safety
● Capable of following instructions and adhering to cleaning procedures
● Previous sanitation or janitorial experience in a food production
environment is a plus

● Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, twist, and reach for extended periods
● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
● Frequent use of cleaning tools and equipment
● Exposure to wet conditions, varying temperatures, and strong cleaning
agents
● Repetitive physical motions and moderate physical endurance required

● Third shift position; shift begins after processing is complete
● Weekend work is mandatory
