The work

The SAP Security Consultant will be responsible for delivering comprehensive SAP security support across S/4HANA, EWM, TM, GTS, and SAP Fiori environments. The role focuses on designing, configuring, maintaining, and enhancing security roles and SAP GRC capabilities, as well as resolving authorization issues across interconnected systems.

This position partners closely with functional teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout all phases of SAP deployments—from initial preparation and design through build, testing, go‑live, hypercare, and steady‑state operations. The consultant will ensure that role designs, authorization concepts, and GRC controls align with business needs, audit requirements, and compliance standards.

Success in this role requires strong expertise in SAP GRC Access Controls, including ARA, EAM, ARM, and BRM; extensive experience with authorization troubleshooting; and a deep understanding of modern S/4HANA security patterns. The consultant will also support secure integrations and ensure consistent authorization management across SAP and non‑SAP connected systems.

Key responsibilities:

Support integration with SAP GRC Access Controls (ARA, EAM, ARM, BRM) and assist with custom rulesets

Create, update, and optimize security roles across SAP components

Participate in all phases of security lifecycle implementations: preparation, blueprinting, build, testing, go‑live, hypercare, and ongoing operations

Assist with deployments and expansions to new sites or business areas

Manage SAP users and authorization assignments across connected systems

Troubleshoot authorization failures using SAP Security tables, logs, and programs

Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure role designs meet business, audit, and compliance standards

Provide support for SAP Security across S/4HANA, EWM, TM, GTS, Fiori, and HANA Sidecar environments

Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements to strengthen overall security architecture

Here’s what you need:

4+ years of SAP Security Administration experience across S/4HANA, HANA Sidecar, and Fiori

Hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP GRC Access Controls

Experience with SAP GRC BRM (preferred)

Strong experience managing roles and troubleshooting authorization issues

Experience supporting full lifecycle SAP implementations and operational security

Solid understanding of SAP Security tables, authorization objects, and system programs

Experience integrating with non‑SAP identity tools (e.g., SailPoint)

Eligibility requirements:

U.S. Citizenship required (no dual citizenship permitted)

Ability to obtain a government secret clearance

Willingness to obtain an SAP Security+ Certification within 90 days of hire

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:

$89,000 - $170,200 USD
