Job Description - SAP Manufacturing Consultant -Production Planning (Remote)
Collaborate with the project team to develop and execute a clear migration strategy and timeline. Analyze existing production planning processes and document current state workflows. Work closely with the data migration team to define data migration strategies for key PP-related data, including production orders, work centers, routings, and material master data. Ensure configuration aligns with business needs and SAP best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., MM, WM, SD, FICO) to ensure seamless integration of SAP PP with other SAP modules and external systems. Ensure end-to-end process integration and accurate data flow across the supply chain Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions to ensure that the core and power users are equipped to effectively use the new SAP system. Provide issue resolution during the migration phase, including troubleshooting system errors, data discrepancies, and process challenges. Ensure that all PP processes function smoothly post-migration. Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to communicate progress, identify risks, and address concerns during the migration process. Support post-go-live activities, including resolving any PP-related issues, monitoring system performance, and ensuring the successful adoption of the new system. 5+ years of experience in SAP PP (Production Planning) with at least 2 full cycle implementations. Proven experience in SAP migration projects, specifically in migrating production planning data and processes from legacy systems to SAP ECC Deep understanding of SAP PP functionality, including master data setup (work centers, BOM, routings), production orders, demand management, scheduling, capacity planning, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, WM). Experience in Aerospace and Defense industry highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and resolve issues efficiently. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Must be a US citizen. SAP Certification in Production Planning (PP) or related SAP modules is a plus. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Required schedule availability for this position is Monday-Friday (08:00am to 05:00pm MST). The shift timings can be changed as per client.
