SAP MM/PM Business Analyst
Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry.
Hours: 40 per week
Location: Dallas (preferred) OR Houston, TX (onsite hybrid, 3 days in office)
This is a hybrid support role for a business analyst type, so while technically no config is required, the customer would love it if this person had some config. This is really a notch above a true business analyst, but a notch below someone who configs. This person will sit between business and IT and help them collaborate by being the liaison.
This is an MM business analyst that needs to have some experience with PM as well, thus the MM/PM job title.
Summary:
The main role will be to drive requirements gathering, identify gaps, document business requirements (BRDs), assist with testing and training, and lead in the Procurement Area.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support services and assist with business initiatives for all aspects of SAP S/4HANA, with a particular emphasis on the STP (Procurement, Materials Management), and EAM areas.
The role is expected to collaborate closely with Business and IT, acting as the key liaison to ensure all project processes and gaps are identified, documented, developed, and tested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with business to document business requirements and process design.
Serve as a trusted advisor, assisting the business in making informed decisions by presenting relevant SAP S/4HANA solution alternatives for key challenges and evaluating the business and system impact of proposed changes.
Liaise confidently and assertively with business users and management.
Collaborate with multiple business units in a continuously changing service provider environment.
Develop documentation that effectively supports training and change management activities.
Undertake additional assignments as requested by management.
Requirements:
To successfully perform this job, an individual must satisfactorily execute each essential duty. The requirements for this position include:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Functional proficiency with at least 2+ full life cycle SAP implementations and 6+ years of industry and/or consulting experience in SAP Materials Management and Plant Maintenance.
Strong functional analyst experience in SAP MM, and extensive knowledge of Purchasing Master Data, Inventory Management, Material Valuation, and integration with FI and PM
Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must. Understanding and writing business requirements documents are core to the position.
Facilitate meetings as well as prepare coordination and communications with business units
Be a trusted advisor, helping the business make better, informed decisions by presenting relevant SAP solution alternatives for key challenges; evaluate business and system impact of proposed changes
Experience in defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple activities, with flexibility to manage competing demands and changing priorities.
Strong skills in tracking, coordination, and project planning.
Ability to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines.
Demonstrated initiative with the commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
