SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer for BRIM Data Migrations

Data-Core Systems Inc. is seeking an SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer for Data Migrations to be a part of our Consulting team. You will participate and effectively contribute to the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. You will provide technical expertise and systems design for individual initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work with other SME consultants from our existing team.

Description of Duties:

• Design and develop custom objects, enhancements, reports, and interfaces using ABAP (described below within the Glossary of Abbreviations section of this document) on SAP S/4HANA.


• Implement solutions using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), SEGW, CDS Views, OData services, and AMDPs, Proxies and IDOCs.


• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing ABAP programs for performance and compliance with clean core principles.


• Collaborate with FI/CO and MM functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.


• Participate in the design and implementation of WRICEF objects for Finance and Inventory Management processes.


• Ensure all developments are aligned with SAP S/4HANA extensibility and upgrade-safe practices.


• Stay current with SAP S/4HANA innovations and contribute to continuous improvement of SAP solutions.


• Recommend and author coding best practices and sharing with project team members.


• Take ownership of assigned tasks.


• Cross functional collaboration is a must.


• Fully document all created work associated with this position, including technical and functional designs and diagrams, test plans, test scripts, impact analysis reports, lessons learned, best practices for others to follow, plus any other documentation as required by the client.  This documentation shall follow the format and / or templates as instructed by the client.


• Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.


• Lead and participate in project team activities for system work efforts related to enterprise systems.


• Work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.


• Adhere to and follow all of the client’s standards, policies, and procedures.


• Utilize various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.


• Perform tasks and other duties as related to this position and role and assigned by the client.

Desired Skillset:

• 8-10 years of SAP experience and at least 4 years of experience in S/4HANA.


• Experience in S/4HANA Data migration and lates SAP provided tools including Migration Cockpit is a plus.


• Strong experience in developing custom migration programs with performance tuning and optimization.


• Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 extension and customization.


• Hands-on experience using BAS and BTP.


• Experience developing ODATA using RAP(Restful Application Programming) and other latest SAP recommended technologies.


• Strong knowledge and development experience in FI, CO, and MM/IM modules.


• Ability to work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.

Minimum Experience:

• 7+ years of BRIM and SAP S/4HANA ABAP experience.


• Experience as a hands-on developer or technical SME on 2 system implementation projects.

Certifications / Education:

• SAP BRIM technical certifications


• SAP ABAP technical certifications


• Bachelor’s degree in business management or information systems.


• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted
