Shift:Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (OT as needed)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Saw Operator Lead to oversee daily saw operations and ensure production efficiency. The Saw Operator Lead will be responsible for both hands-on equipment operation and team leadership, supporting workflow, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Required Experience & Skills

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· 2+ years of manufacturing experience

· Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of metal cutting equipment and safety procedures

· Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and interpret work instructions

· Skilled in using power tools, forklifts, cranes, and measuring devices

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Proficient in basic math and tape measure reading

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and patterns to set up equipment

· Operate metal cutting band saws, install blades, and set proper cutting speeds

· Use cranes, hoists, and forklifts to transport raw materials

· Monitor equipment operation and perform quality checks to ensure conformance

· Remove burrs from surfaces using grinding tools

· Stage material for saw stations and manage raw material inventory

· Prioritize cutting orders and assign tasks to Saw Operators

· Support training, troubleshooting, and safety initiatives as a Saw Operator Lead

· Communicate material needs with Inventory Control and maintain organized storage areas

Preferred Education

· Technical training or coursework in machining or manufacturing is a plus
