Saw Room Operator-First Shift

We’re looking for someone with saw operation experience, an eye for detail, and a dependable, team-focused approach. You’ll receive on-the-job training to learn our equipment, products, and processes.

What You’ll Do

• Operate trim saw and automatic saw equipment to cut materials to specified dimensions.
• Cut, prepare, and assemble cork/rubber pieces called “sticks” for further processing.
• Sand blocks and frames to the required dimensions.
• Read shop orders and work instructions and use a tape measure to check your work.
• Keep materials moving between the band saw, automatic saw, and glue table.
• Make the most of available materials to help reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
• Follow safety and quality procedures, keep your work area organized, and communicate equipment or material concerns.
• Work with your teammates to meet daily production needs.

Build Your Skills With Us

You’ll receive approximately three months of on-the-job training to build proficiency in our equipment and processes. This role offers a variety of hands-on tasks, from cutting and assembly to sanding and material preparation.

What You Bring

• At least one year of experience operating an automatic saw and/or band saw.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and shop orders.
• Ability to use a tape measure or become proficient during training.
• Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• A willingness to learn, follow safe work practices, and support your team.
• High school or GED required
• Two years of related manufacturing or fabrication shop experience a plus
