Controls Engineer - PLC/SCADA
Location: Juno Beach, Florida
Contract Duration: 12 months

Overview of the Role:
Join our team as a Controls Engineer II and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of renewable energy. Youll design, implement, and maintain control systems for cutting-edge PV (Photovoltaic) and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects, ensuring efficiency and innovation in renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PLC-based control systems for renewable energy projects.
• Configure and maintain SCADA systems for PV and BESS installations.
• Program PLCs using function blocks, structured text, and ladder logic.
• Design and test HMI interfaces using the Ignition platform.
• Create control narratives, O&M manuals, and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs).
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and troubleshoot system issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in function blocks, structured text, and ladder logic.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Schneider M340 or M580 PLCs.
• Familiarity with Ignition HMI platform and renewable energy systems.
• Understanding of electrical power systems and instrumentation.
