About The Role

Were looking for an experienced Scala Developer to join our team.

Reporting Line - Back-end director

Worksite: Remote/ Hybrid/ On-site (options vary by location)

Responsibilities:

• Support of the existing extensive code base (microservices);

• Development of external connection points to the trading system: backend for interfaces, HTTP API, FIX API;

• Optimization and modification of the architecture of existing infrastructure in order to increase productivity and facilitate further maintenance.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Scala development experience

• Knowledge of various JVM multithreading models (blocking, CAS, Future/Promise, Actors)

• Understanding of the basic ideas of functional programming (recursion, laziness, pure functions)

• Knowledge and ability to work with scala collections, understanding of for-comprehensions

• Experience with the akka library (akka-http, akka-streams, actor model)

• Knowledge of basic data structures and basic algorithms

• Experience with SQL

• Ability to write tests and understand the need for this.
