Scale Operator

Responsibilities for scale operator:

• Weigh and grade inbound and outbound materials 
• Operate and manage the truck scale and its software systems
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions and weights
• Cash handling, ensuring accuracy when paying customers
• Prepare bills of lading and/or scale tickets
• Maintain clean work environment
• Coordinate deliveries with dispatch
• Ability to complete tasks with little to no errors 
• Can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Answer all incoming calls and are directed to the scale phone
• Willingness to learn

Requirements

Qualifications for scale operator:

• Possess flexibility and adaptability to take on additional job responsibilities, as needed
• Must be able to work quickly, independently, and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work on your feet for a full day
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth
