Scale Operator

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Scale Operator to join our team at a recycling facility. This position is responsible for operating the scale system, managing inbound and outbound shipments, and ensuring accurate data entry. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Accurately operate truck scales and record weights for inbound and outbound shipments 
• Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate transaction records 
• Answer incoming phone calls, route inquiries, and provide general information 
• Complete general administrative tasks such as filing and documentation 
• Use and navigate multiple software systems to support logistics and operations 
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations 

• Punctual and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility 
• Strong data entry and organizational skills 
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy 
• Pleasant and professional communication skills – both written and verbal 
• Outgoing personality with a team-oriented mindset 
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a dynamic environment 
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required 
• Previous experience in a similar role or logistics setting is a plus
