Job Description - Scheduler

The Scheduler will be responsible for the management of all scheduling tasks related to patient visits and services.

Responsibilities of the Scheduler:

  • Completes all scheduling tasks in a timely manner
  • Adjusts patient scheduling as requested to meet patient needs
  • Ensures accurate scheduling based on staff availability and agency territories
  • Maintains knowledge of requirements based on Medicare regulations and other payer sources (timely admissions, Home Health Aide supervisory visits, re-certs, insurance authorizations, etc.)
  • Utilizes electronic medical record (EMR) for accurate patient information, scheduling notes, visit types, etc.
  • Maintains staff time off calendar
  • Fields scheduling phone calls

Qualifications for the Scheduler:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years' experience in an administrative role in an office setting
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) required
  • Proof of Flu vaccination
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Automobile insurance
  • Physical exam within the last year
  • Two-step TB test
