Scheduler

Talarico for Texas is hiring a Scheduler to join James Talarico’s US Senate campaign. This is a full-time, paid position perfect for someone who enjoys people and building systems to keep teams organized.

Responsibilities

• Calendar Management: Build, maintain, and own all aspects of the daily and long-term schedule, balancing political, fundraising, press, social media, travel, and personal commitments.
• Briefing Prep: Coordinate briefing materials for all meetings and events, ensuring the candidate is equipped with relevant background, goals, and talking points.
• Travel Planning: Manage travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, and on-the-ground movements for the candidate, the road team, and senior staff.
• Communication: Prioritize scheduling requests and serve as the main point of contact for the candidate’s availability to external groups and internal departments.
• Flexibility: Adapt schedule quickly to respond to breaking political events, campaign priorities, or unexpected changes.

• Experience in political campaigns, government offices, or fast-paced scheduling/administrative roles.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to juggle many moving pieces under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills; professional and tactful in dealing with elected officials, donors, volunteers, and community members.
• Exhibits discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive political, personal, and confidential information.
• Ability to anticipate needs, troubleshoot problems, and think several steps ahead.
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to the mission, values, and success of the Talarico for Texas campaign.
• Comfortable with nontraditional hours, reflecting the pace and demands of a statewide campaign.
• A sense of humor and resilience — the job will be demanding, but rewarding.
