Overview
A Construction Scheduler develops, maintains, and updates detailed project timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. They identify bottlenecks, allocate resources, and coordinate with teams to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
Create baseline schedules, including breaking down projects into tasks, sequencing activities, and establishing milestones.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather schedule inputs
Track project progress, update schedules regularly, and adjust for changes, such as weather, shortages, or delays.
Optimize labor, materials, and equipment usage.
Identify potential delays early and develop contingency plans.
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure all parties are aligned on timelines.
Prepare and present schedule reports and analysis to project teams and clients
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
Experience in OPC, P6, MS Project, or equivalent industry standard tools
Associate’s degree with relevant experience may also be considered
Deep understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and techniques.
Ability to analyze complex data to identify risks and potential delays.
Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Prior field experience or experience in construction planning
