Scheduler, Clinic - PRN

1. New Patient Referrals.

• Maintains and completes daily Primary Care Physician and Specialty Care Physician referral appointments for Consultation.


• Tracking of no-show, cancelled, & missed New Patient appointments.


• Maintains direct and frequent communication with Referring Physicians office to ensure proper scheduling of appointment.

2. Routine Re-Call (3, 6, 9, 12 months)

• Schedules routine follow-up appointments for patients based off patient need – 3, 6, 9, or 12 months.


• Maintains updated Patient demographics and contact information to include phone numbers.


• Tracking of no-show and short notice cancellations.

 3. Same Day Urgent Appointments. 

• Maintains direct communication with appropriate nursing support and auxiliary staff to ensure proper scheduling of “Same Day” appointments for patients.


• Communicates with appropriate nursing staff for patients in need of triage.

4. Monitor Scheduled Follow-Up and Same Day/Next Day Appointments.

• Maintains direct communication with Providers, nursing support and auxiliary staff to ensure proper scheduling.


• Monitor the Patient Appointment Reminder System for changes in appointments.

5. Performs other duties as assigned.
