Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to manage staff schedules and ensure efficient and consistent workforce coverage. This role is essential for maintaining daily operations, coordinating shifts, and optimizing resource allocation to meet business demands. The Scheduler may also assist with payroll processing and support other administrative tasks as needed.

  

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly staff schedules based on operational needs and employee availability.
  • Coordinate shift changes, time-off requests, and emergency coverage in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with department managers to forecast staffing requirements and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Communicate schedules and changes to all relevant team members and ensure timely distribution.
  • Monitor attendance and track employee availability, absences, and overtime.
  • Maintain scheduling software or tools, keeping records up to date and accessible.
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks such as verifying timekeeping records, entering time data, and helping resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify trends or recurring issues in scheduling and recommend improvements or adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, union regulations (if applicable), and company policies.
  • Perform other administrative or operational duties as assigned.

   


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, administrative coordination, or operations  support is preferred.
  • Strong  organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in scheduling software, spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), and office tools.
  • Strong  problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with standard working hours.
  • May require occasional availability outside business hours to handle urgent scheduling issues.
