SCHEDULING COORD MED IMAGING/MVH/FT

This position is responsible for coordination and scheduling of approximately 6000 outpatient procedures annually in an effective manner and in an appropriate time period. This position combines duties and obligations of scheduling of Special Procedures C, T & US invasive procedures, coordination of radiologists, and retrieval of previous correlating imaging procedures. The Scheduler is required to maintain excellent customer service standards at all times in order to effectively communicate with physicians, physician offices, patients, co-workers, and outpatient registration/admitting. The scheduler interacts with clinical leadership of various areas serviced regarding appropriate protocols for scheduling and service enhancements. The Scheduler is required to efficiently perform all duties while ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy rights. The scheduler assures that related hospital protocols are administered according to hospital policy and applicable compliance standards(e .g.,J CAHO, Medicare,e tc.). The Scheduling Coordinator receives and places many telephone calls, and is subject to numerous intemrptions throughout the day. Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and a current member of ARRT or a Registered Nurse Licensure: Valid Ohio State License in Radiology or equivalent for an RN CPR Certification is required for this position. 2 - 3 yearsofprogressive experience in CT & /or Special Procedures preferred. Must have PC skills and be knowledgeable of commonly used software packages.
