Scheduling Referral Coordinator

Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring for a Scheduling Referral Coordinator!

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Scheduling Referral Coordinator to join our client services team. As a Scheduling Referral Coordinator, you will serve as the critical first point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless scheduling process for specialty appointments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process incoming appointment requests from clients

• Coordinate and schedule appointments for multiple specialty departments

• Accurately enter and manage patient and client information in our electronic medical record system

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, referring veterinarians, and internal teams

• Assist with collecting medical records to ensure appropriate case routing

• Follow established protocols to prioritize urgent or time-sensitive cases

• Provide excellent client service over the phone and via email

• Collaborate with specialty departments to manage appointment availability and workflow

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a veterinary, medical, or scheduling role required (1-2 years preferred)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

• Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and records preferred

• Proficiency in computer systems, scheduling software, and EMRs

• Detail-oriented, reliable, and highly dependable

• Positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills

Availability & Schedules:

• Mon-Thur 8a-6p

• Hourly pay range- $22.00 - $26.00 depending on experience
