Scheduling Specialist

Here’s What You Need

·       High School Diploma or Equivalent required

·       One year of health care experience including customer relations required.  

·       Two years of professional office/healthcare experience preferred.

·       One year of medical terminology or certification is preferred.

·       Six months call center experience preferred.   

·       CHAA – Certified Healthcare Access Associate upon hire preferred

What You Will Do

·       Coordinate and schedules procedures for multiple departments in an accurate and timely manner ensuring maximum productivity and expedient patient flow. 

·       Selects appropriate procedures and ICD diagnosis, referral, provider, visit type or case, insurance network coverage and location to expeditated patient access to care.

·       Effectively communicates with patients, physician office scheduling, surgery scheduling, and/or other necessary staff as needed to reduce appointment time/date errors. 

·       Verifies medical necessity criteria to ensure documentation in compliance with applicable payor guidelines. 

·       Participates in special projects or completes other duties as assigned.
