Scheduling Support Specialist

One way we help our patients feel their very best is by surgeries or procedures. The surgery process does not start in the Operating Room, it starts with our scheduling team. Prior to scheduling a surgery or procedure most insurance companies require a precertification/ prior authorization in order for the surgery to be covered by the patient's’ health insurance plan. Our Scheduling Team is looking for a detail oriented individual to join their team as a Scheduling Support Specialist.

The Scheduling Support Specialist is responsible for obtaining precertification/preauthorization from insurance companies for procedures/surgeries ordered. This is done by providing detailed, accurate, and timely communication to both payers and clinical partners in order to facilitate compliance with payer contractual requirements.

Augusta Aiken ENT & Allergy is not a new practice, we have been helping patients in the CSRA feel their very best for over 40 years. We currently have 3 clinical locations, a surgery center, 16 physicians and offer a full spectrum of specialty care for people of all ages across the CSRA.

To be successful in this role you will need to be organized and detail oriented, have outstanding time management and communication skills, and have previous experience working in a medical office. Prior experience working with health insurance is a plus!
