Pay Range: $18 – $20 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, creative, and organized School Age Coordinator to join our daycare team. This role involves planning and leading engaging activities for school-age children during after-school programs and seasonal camps, including Thanksgiving Camp, Winter Camp, Spring Break Camp, and Summer Camp. The School Age Coordinator will also supervise and lead a team of counselors during summer camp.

The ideal candidate will enjoy building positive relationships with children and families, be comfortable driving a daycare bus (no CDL required), and have a passion for creating memorable and educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  Plan, organize, and implement fun, age-appropriate activities for school-age children, including crafts, games, STEM activities, and group projects.

  Develop and coordinate seasonal camp programs (Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring Break, and Summer), including schedules, themes, and special events.

  Plan and facilitate field trips, ensuring safety and smooth logistics.

  
  


• 
  

  Drive the daycare bus to transport children for after-school pick-ups, field trips, and outings (no commercial driver’s license required).

  
  


• 
  

  Lead, train, and mentor camp counselors, particularly during the summer program.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all children.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding program details and children’s progress.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all activities comply with state childcare licensing regulations and safety standards.

  Manage program supplies and work within a set budget.

  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 
  

  Previous experience working with school-age children in a daycare, camp, or after-school program setting.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (must be comfortable driving a daycare bus).

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.

  Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging activities.

  Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic environment.

  CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

  
  

Schedule & Compensation
