Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
GLFHC is currently seeking a School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Clinical Coordinator to join our School-Based Health team. Reporting to the Operations Manager/Clinical Site Manager, this dual-role position provides both administrative leadership and direct clinical support within the School-Based Health Centers. The Clinical Coordinator oversees daily operations, supports patient care activities, manages vaccines and supplies, and serves as a key liaison between providers, school staff, students, and families to ensure efficient and high-quality care delivery.
• Oversee daily administrative operations to ensure efficient clinic workflow and organization.
• Coordinate scheduling, meetings, onboarding activities, reports, and general office operations.
• Support patient care by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, administering vaccines, performing testing, and assisting providers with clinical procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory-related duties as needed.
• Manage patient registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and health record updates.
• Oversee vaccine inventory, medication management, and medical supply ordering.
• Assist students and families with insurance enrollment and Health Safety Net applications.
• Coordinate referrals, medical records requests, and follow-up care activities.
• Provide health education and support to students and families.
• Collaborate with providers, school nurses, behavioral health staff, and community partners to support coordinated patient care.
• Ensure compliance with documentation, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
Experience
• 3+ years of administrative or coordination experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Education & Certifications
• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Vaccine Certification required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ABCD Family Planning Training preferred.
