Job Description - School Based Occupational Therapist (Hybrid Position)
In2Great! Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dynamic Hybrid Occupational Therapist (OT) to split time between our welcoming clinic and one of our parochial school contract settings. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve clients across two environments: approximately 25% school-based and 75% clinic-based.
In this role, you’ll bring expertise in both school-based and clinic-based OT practices, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention. You will evaluate each client’s needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and deliver therapy that helps individuals adapt to physical, cognitive, and/or mental challenges, empowering them to maximize independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
School-Based Responsibilities
Conducting assessments to determine students’ needs for occupational therapy.
Collaboration/communication with parents, teachers, and other school staff.
Providing direct therapy services to students in the school environment.
Collaborating with school staff to integrate OT strategies into the classroom and daily routines.
Helping students develop essential academic, social, and physical skills.
Providing targeted interventions to improve all motor skills for coordination and balance (e.g., running, jumping).
Providing sensory based supports and creating/applying sensory diets.
Participating in IEP meetings and other relevant school meetings when asked
Clinic-Based Responsibilities
Conducting assessments to determine clients’ needs for occupational therapy.
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
Providing direct therapy services to clients in the clinic setting.
Monitoring and documenting client progress.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Potentially supervising support staff such as volunteers or parents.
General Responsibilities (Apply to Both Settings)
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client care.
Staying up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based interventions in occupational therapy.
Participating in professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
Adhering to ethical and legal guidelines for occupational therapy practice.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in occupational therapy.
State licensure or registration as an occupational therapist.
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
Experience in both school-based and clinic-based settings is preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
