School Bus Driver

As a School Bus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students arrive at school and return home safely each day. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact in their lives. You will be responsible for operating a school bus while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. In addition to driving, you’ll engage with students, ensuring they board and exit the bus safely, and maintaining a disciplined yet friendly atmosphere. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Ensure that students board and exit the bus safely, helping younger students as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in proper working condition.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized bus interior, ensuring the environment is conducive for students.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce safety rules during transport to maintain a safe atmosphere on the bus.
• Complete and submit required documentation including route logs, incident reports, and maintenance records.

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a school bus.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 to 5 years.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school administrators.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
• Flexibility to work early morning and afternoon hours, as well as occasional weekends or special trips.
• Prior experience driving a school bus or working with children is preferred but not mandatory.
