School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

It’s a rewarding opportunity to support a child’s education while making a real difference in their daily life.

Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, following a school year schedule

Contract Length: 1 year w/ possible extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Travels with students to and from school.
• May support a student one-on-one.
• Performs medical and emergency treatments.
• Dispenses medications.
• Cares for disturbed students.
• May attend to physical needs.
• Assists the School RN with daily triage.
• Maintains an awareness of student status.
• Records information on student health records.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current BLS and CPR certifications
• Valid nursing license in New York State.
• Experience working with children
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to health-related emergencies.
• Compassionate, responsible, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a safe, supportive environment for the student.
• Two professional references/letters of recommendation
