We are currently seeking a School Nurse to join our team at The Match High School & Career Center for the 2025-2026 school year.
Position Overview
The Match High School and Career Center, operated by Matchbook Learning Inc., is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The School Nurse will promote the health and safety of students and staff, provide direct medical care and health education, and support the overall well-being of the school community. This role is essential in ensuring that students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn as they prepare for both college and career success.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic condition management.
Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with state and federal regulations (FERPA, HIPAA).
Collaborate with staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and support Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and necessary student accommodations.
Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and assist with state-mandated health reporting requirements.
Support school emergency preparedness efforts and actively participate in crisis response planning.
Educate students and staff on wellness topics such as healthy lifestyles, nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Monitor immunization compliance and coordinate with families to obtain required documentation.
Current Indiana license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) (required).
Prior nursing experience in pediatrics, school health, or community health (preferred).
Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, parents, and community partners.
